# Drunk Mercedes driver kills woman, arrested in Delhi

A 70-year-old woman was killed in Delhi's Narela on Saturday morning when a speeding Mercedes E-Class driven by Shubham Sharma, son of a Haryana Police sub-inspector, collided head-on with a Maruti WagonR. The impact shoved the WagonR into a parked three-wheeler, crushing pedestrian Urmila Devi. Beer and empty liquor bottles were found in the Mercedes. Three occupants of the WagonR were injured. Sharma has been arrested and booked under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS. His blood alcohol report is awaited. In two separate incidents on Monday morning in Hyderabad, drunk drivers killed two more people. In Hydershakote, a SUV struck a scooter, killing ex-serviceman D Ravinder. In Kondapur, a Thar hit a bike from behind, killing mason Ch Srinivasulu. Both accused tested positive in breathalyser tests and face charges of culpable homicide.
