Woman Accuses Man of Sexual Exploitation and Forced Religious Conversion Over Two Years

A 32-year-old woman has filed a complaint against a man, accusing him of sexually exploiting her over a span of two years, filming objectionable videos and pressuring her to convert to Islam. The man has since been arrested, police confirmed.

According to Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi, the woman first came into contact with the accused on Instagram, where he allegedly posed as a Hindu man under the name Shiv Verma. In reality, he was identified as Mohammad Naveed, also known as Qasim Pathan.

The woman claimed that during their initial meetings, the accused wore a kalava (sacred thread) and applied a tilak on his forehead to mislead her about his identity. Over time, he allegedly gained her trust, promised marriage, and initiated a physical relationship.

The complaint further states that the accused visited her rented residence on several occasions and sexually assaulted her. He also reportedly recorded intimate videos and used them to threaten and blackmail her.

The woman also alleged that she had seen similar objectionable content on his phone involving other Hindu women, suggesting a pattern of abuse.

In a particularly distressing revelation, the woman claimed she was three months pregnant when the accused and his family began pressuring her to convert to Islam. Upon her refusal, she alleged that he physically assaulted her, kicking her in the stomach and causing a miscarriage.

SP Dwivedi confirmed that the accused was taken into custody late Saturday night. A detailed investigation is underway, and further legal action will follow based on the findings.
