After going into labour on Wednesday night, Keshwati was taken to an ambulance by family members who floated her across the river. She gave birth to a baby boy at the Community Health Centre in Fatehabad and was discharged on Thursday morning. The family had to repeat the crossing to return home. A video of the return crossing went viral, highlighting the long-pending demand for a bridge. Sub-divisional magistrate of Bah, Vinod Kumar, said the administration is aware of the connectivity problem, especially during monsoon, but funds at the block level are insufficient.
