Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups, starring Yash, Nayanthara and Kiara Advani, releases in Kannada on August 26. The film is set in Goa under Portuguese rule after Indian independence, following Raya's struggle with loyalty and morality. Director Geetu Mohandas leads a cast that also includes Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth. Also releasing on August 28 are the Tamil film Hi starring Nayanthara and Kavin, Once More with Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar, the Tamil action romance Amaram, and the Telugu thriller Chiranjeevi. Hi follows two people with opposing views on love forced into an uncomfortable situation.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Both sources deliver straight promotional listings with no editorial slant. Pinkvilla leads with star names (Yash, Kiara Advani) and a weekly roundup framing. Cinema Express gives fuller plot synopses for each release. The uniform coverage reflects the outlets' entertainment-news function rather than any political stance. Readers should treat the described storylines as marketing material. The box office performance of Toxic and Hi in their opening weekend will be the first concrete indicator of audience reception.

How this brief was made: an AI model read the reports linked above and wrote this summary and analysis, which were published automatically. Published briefs are sampled every hour by an automated quality check; the editor verifies its findings and approves corrections, and corrected briefs carry a dated correction line. Stance labels are editorial classifications of how each outlet framed this story, assigned by the same model, not ratings of the outlets. We do no original reporting.
