Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

At the pre-release event of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in Hyderabad, actor Yash praised his co-star Rukmini Vasanth, calling her a 'fabulous actor'. He expressed pride in her work across film industries and noted she is a Kannada girl making a mark everywhere. Over 45,000 fans attended the event. Producer Dil Raju, distributing the film in Telugu states, recalled initial doubts about Yash collaborating with director Geetu Mohandas after KGF, saying he 'thought he had gone mad'. However, after seeing visuals from the film, he praised Yash's vision and said the film could take Indian cinema to a pan-world level. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi. The film's promotional material has faced backlash on social media for graphic scenes, but Yash said 'the girls will have a blast' watching it. Toxic is scheduled for release on August 26.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Both sources report the same event with neutral framing. Bollywood Hungama leads with Yash's praise for Rukmini Vasanth, emphasising her Kannada identity and multi-industry success. Hindustan Times leads with producer Dil Raju's initial scepticism about Geetu Mohandas directing Yash after KGF, then pivots to the film's social media backlash and Yash's response. Neither outlet adopts a critical or promotional stance beyond standard entertainment reporting. The contrast lies in emphasis: one foregrounds a co-star moment, the other foregrounds production drama and controversy. A careful reader can see the film is generating both massive fan turnout and public criticism, which the August 26 release date will resolve.
