Speaking in Ayodhya at a programme for late Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das Maharaj, he recalled the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and credited saints with the city’s transformation. Adityanath also referred to Partition, alleged silence over attacks on Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh, and criticised opposition to Hindu causes. On Sambhal, he said the government had removed alleged encroachments from about 1,000 acres, was allotting the land to poorer and weaker sections, and was creating a government land bank.
