The bridge replaced a temporary pontoon structure and ended decades of monsoon isolation for the village, which had remained cut off from the main routes for four to five months every year. Thakur Roshan Singh was hanged in 1927 for his role in the Kakori conspiracy. Despite his sacrifice, Nawada lacked basic infrastructure for three generations. After the BJP government came to power, the CM approved the bridge and a degree college for the village in February 2018.
