Zirakpur police have booked three tenants, Rajesh Ajmera, Dharminder Ajmera and Gayatri Ajmera, for allegedly stealing the original sale deed of a 133-square-yard plot in Lohgarh, forging the landowners’ signatures, and mortgaging the property with AU Small Finance Bank without their knowledge. The fraud came to light after the bank issued a recovery notice to the owners, Maninder Kaur and Nonihal Singh, following a loan default. A forensic handwriting examination confirmed the signatures on loan documents were copied and not genuine.
