72-year-old dies after falling from 18th floor in Bengaluru

A 72-year-old man, Paramaeshwaraiah, died after falling from the 18th floor of an apartment building on Magadi Road in Bengaluru on Sunday afternoon. Police said he sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

Security guards and residents heard a loud noise and found him in a pool of blood. A chair had been placed on the balcony, which the family said was for cleaning. Police are investigating whether it was an accidental fall or suicide.

A case of unnatural death has been registered at KR Agrahara police station. The body has been kept at the mortuary, and a postmortem will be conducted on Monday.
