Corrections Policy

Automated summarisation makes mistakes. When it does, we want to know, and we would rather fix things quickly than defend them.

What counts as an error

Anything factually wrong in a summary; a misattributed quote or claim; a source credited incorrectly or not at all; commentary that misrepresents what a source actually said; or a story that should not be live at all.

How to report one

Email [email protected] with the article link and what is wrong. If you are the outlet whose reporting we summarised, say so — those reports go to the front of the queue.

What we do

  • We aim to acknowledge reports within 48 hours.
  • Clear factual errors are corrected or the article is unpublished, usually the same day.
  • Where a correction materially changes an article, we note at the foot of it that it was corrected and when.
  • Where an error came from the source reporting rather than from our summary, we will say so and link the source’s own correction if one exists.

Takedown requests

If you hold rights in reporting we have summarised and you want the article removed, email us and we will review it promptly. We do not require a formal legal notice to act on a reasonable request.

Right of reply

If you are the subject of a story and believe our summary or commentary is unfair, tell us. We will correct anything inaccurate and consider adding your response.
