Ajith Kumar unhurt after car crash in European endurance race

Actor Ajith Kumar has escaped without injury after his racing car crashed during an endurance event in Europe, according to multiple reports. Citing a report from Filmibeat, Hindustan Times and Mathrubhumi said the actor lost control of his vehicle and collided with another car. Ajith, who races under his own team Ajith Kumar Racing, was participating in championships including the Asian Le Mans Series and Michelin Le Mans Cup.

The latest incident adds to a series of crashes the actor has survived on international circuits. In 2025 alone, he walked away unhurt from an accident in the GT4 European Series in Italy and a double-rollover during the Porsche Sprint Challenge in Valencia, Spain. He also escaped injury after his Porsche crashed during practice for the 24H Dubai endurance race.

Ajith, who began professional racing with the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championships, has spoken about his mindset after crashes. In a 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, he said his immediate concern is checking for injuries and whether the car can restart, and that his crashes attract headlines because he is an actor. His next film, Dare Devil, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, is expected to begin production in September.
