Arsenal thrash Man City 3-0 in Community Shield

Arsenal beat Manchester City 3-0 in the Community Shield on Sunday, handing new City manager Enzo Maresca a difficult start. Riccardo Calafiori scored after 24 seconds, the fastest Community Shield goal since 1968. Kai Havertz doubled the lead in the 28th minute with a header, and captain Martin Odegaard added a third just after halftime.

The match was City's first competitive game since Pep Guardiola left after a decade. Arsenal begin their Premier League title defence against Coventry on August 21, while City host Bournemouth on August 23.
