BEL, Ananth Technologies sign pact for defence electronics

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Ananth Technologies have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop and manufacture advanced electronic systems for defence and aerospace applications. The partnership will explore opportunities to create systems and subsystems for missiles, radars, satellites and navigation systems.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate across the technology chain, including design, development, system engineering, electronics manufacturing, integration, testing and production. BEL, a Navratna public sector undertaking under the defence ministry, brings experience in manufacturing electronic systems for the armed forces, while Ananth Technologies, with over three decades of experience, works on aerospace and defence electronics, satellite systems and launch vehicle avionics.

Ananth Technologies managing director Anurup Pavuluri said the partnership would focus on indigenous design, development, manufacturing and integration for current and future strategic programmes. The collaboration aims to strengthen India's aerospace and defence industrial ecosystem and reduce reliance on imported technologies.
