BJP president Nitin Nabin set to unveil new team today

BJP national president Nitin Nabin is expected to announce a major organisational reshuffle on Monday, sources told India TV and Times Now. Times Now reported the announcement could come at 12 pm, though the party has not officially confirmed a specific time. NDTV Profit said Nabin had approved the appointments, which take effect immediately.

India TV said the revamp is crucial as the BJP prepares for assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur early next year. Times Now added the changes are also linked to the party's longer-term planning for the 2027 and 2029 polls. NDTV Profit reported that the new team includes 13 national vice-presidents, among them Vasundhara Raje and Ram Madhav, and Smriti Irani has been given charge as general secretary for Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP has already been making state-level organisational changes. Its Punjab unit recently appointed in-charges for all 36 organisational districts ahead of the 2027 assembly elections there, Times Now reported.
