Chirag Paswan rejects Kangana Ranaut’s ‘gutter’ remark on Gen Z

Union minister Chirag Paswan has criticised BJP MP Kangana Ranaut for calling Generation Z 'gutter-level people', saying it is wrong to condemn an entire generation for the actions of a few individuals. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Paswan said he is 'troubled' by such remarks and that individual statements should not be treated as representing an entire political system.

Ranaut, who represents Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, defended her comment by saying members of Gen Z call themselves 'cockroaches' and cockroaches live in gutters. She neither apologised nor clarified the remark. Paswan stressed that what matters is the view of the top leader, describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his prime minister whose positions he follows.

Paswan acknowledged that large organisations will always have members who say things he does not support, including communal remarks he has heard during Sawan about shutting meat shops or displaying nameplates. He said disagreement with an individual should not mean rejecting an entire political system, and that both the LJP and BJP take action when leaders cross the line.
