Chiranjeevi’s Mega158 title glimpse to screen in theatres on his birthday
Megastar Chiranjeevi will release the title glimpse of his upcoming film Mega158 on August 22, his birthday. The makers will also screen the glimpse in select theatres across the Telugu states, as reported by 123telugu and m9.news. Chiranjeevi has hinted the title contains the word 'Kadiri', fuelling speculation among fans.
The film, directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by KVN Productions, marks their second collaboration after Waltair Veerayya. Anaswara Rajan and Nivetha Pethuraj are in the cast, with Thaman composing music. Greatandhra and Telugu360 report that 40 days of shooting are complete and the first half is locked. The interval fight is being shot on a lavish scale, they say, and is expected to be a highlight.
Mega158 is targeting a theatrical release during the Sankranthi 2027 festive season, according to greatandhra and m9.news. The title glimpse on August 22 should confirm the film's official name.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Multiple sources (123telugu, m9.news, greatandhra, telugu360) hype the birthday glimpse as a blockbuster build-up, while the on-set progress reports (40 days of shooting, first half locked) come only from greatandhra and telugu360, the other outlets ignore production pace entirely. Greatandhra and telugu360 also claim an interval fight as a major mass moment, but this is a standard promotional beat for commercial films, no source names the actual story or character details. The measured take: the film is in early stages, with a title reveal on August 22 that fans should watch for confirmation of the speculated Kadiri title, and a Sankranthi 2027 release target that will become concrete only after more shooting schedules.
