DC Box Office Nears Rs 87 Crore in 11 Days

Lokesh Kanagaraj's Tamil action thriller 'DC' (also known as 'Devadas') has collected an estimated Rs 2 crore net in India on its second Monday, taking its India net to Rs 56.76 crore and its worldwide gross close to Rs 87 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran, features Kanagaraj in his acting debut alongside Wamiqa Gabbi.

Times of India reports the film saw the expected weekday drop from Rs 5.50 crore on second Saturday and Rs 4.50 crore on second Sunday. NDTV Profit notes the film is staying steady in its second week. Overseas markets added about Rs 25 lakh on day 11, pushing the overseas gross to Rs 21.50 crore.

The film had collected around Rs 41.90 crore net in India during its first seven days. With its current momentum, the worldwide collection is expected to approach the Rs 90 crore mark as it continues its theatrical run across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions.
