Durand Cup semifinals set: East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, NorthEast United, SC Delhi

The Durand Cup 2026 quarterfinals ended on Monday, with NorthEast United FC beating Shillong Lajong 5-2 to book a semifinal spot. Alaaeddine Ajaraie scored a hat-trick for NorthEast United, who came from 1-2 down at half-time to win in Shillong. Sportstar reports that Shillong Lajong and Jamshedpur FC were among the teams eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Telangana Today notes that NorthEast United reached the semifinals for the fourth consecutive year. The other semifinalists are East Bengal, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, and Sporting Club Delhi. The first semifinal on August 19 sees East Bengal face SC Delhi at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. The second semifinal on August 20 pits NorthEast United against Mohun Bagan at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.

Both matches are scheduled for 7pm IST.
