ECIL opens online applications for 310 ITI trade apprentices
Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) has announced 310 ITI Trade Apprentice vacancies for a one-year training programme starting 2 November 2026 at its Hyderabad facility. Online applications opened on 30 September and will close on 11 October 2026.
Candidates must hold an NCVT ITI Pass certificate in the relevant trade and reside in any district of Telangana. Those who have already completed or are undergoing an apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 are ineligible. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 25 years as of 31 October 2026, with government-prescribed relaxation for reserved categories.
Applications are to be submitted on the official website ecil.co.in or through the NAPS portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Shortlisted candidates will begin training on 2 November 2026.
Indian Opinion Analysis
The 310 vacancies across 12 engineering trades offer a structured entry for ITI-certified candidates in Telangana, but the residency and prior-apprenticeship restrictions sharply narrow the applicant pool. The one-year term under the Apprenticeship Act does not guarantee a regular job at ECIL, which the notification leaves unaddressed. The deadline of 11 October 2026 gives applicants just over a week to register.
