Five held for stealing Rs 80 lakh cutting tools in Doddaballapur

Police in Doddaballapur have arrested five people for allegedly stealing cutting tools worth Rs 80 lakh from YG Cutting Tools Corporation Pvt Ltd over the last three or four years. The suspects, identified as Somashekar, Chandra Shekhar, Dhanush, Nagabhushan, and Harish, worked at the company in various roles, including as godown in-charge, and had quit before the theft was discovered.

The theft came to light during an internal audit, following which the company filed a complaint on March 6. Police said the tools were stolen on different days to avoid suspicion and later sold. Officials have recovered the stolen cutting tools.
