Govinda hits back at wife Sunita over public slurs

Bollywood actor Govinda has broken his silence on his wife Sunita Ahuja's public allegations, releasing a video message on Saturday. In a calm but firm address, he accused her of interfering in his work and urged her not to humiliate people from humble backgrounds in the film industry. The 62-year-old actor also defended working with younger co-stars, pointing out that many great artistes have done the same.

Sunita had recently called Govinda actress Komal Rani Swarnkar's "sugar daddy" and criticised his association with her, saying he should be ashamed for being seen with a woman young enough to be his daughter. Govinda and Swarnkar have been promoting their upcoming film 'Roopa', his comeback after the 2019 movie 'Rangeela Raja'.

Actress Somy Ali has publicly defended Govinda, calling him one of the most humble and talented actors in the industry. On Instagram, she argued that talent has no expiration date and that an actor choosing to keep working deserves respect, not ageist ridicule. Govinda, addressing Sunita directly, warned that the group backing her is known to him and urged her to stay within limits.
