Haryana police seal Khanauri border to stop farmers’ march to Delhi

Haryana Police have sealed the Khanauri crossing on the Punjab-Haryana border with multi-layered barricades, concrete blocks, and barbed wire to stop a fresh farmers' march to Delhi, Times Now reports. Hundreds of farmers gathered under the banners of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and Samyukta Kisan Morcha but were halted on the Punjab side. Riot control units have been deployed at the border.

The farmer unions are demanding a legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP), opposing proposed free-trade agreements, and seeking the release of detained leaders. The Khanauri border is a key route between the two states, and the restrictions are expected to affect movement. Commuters have been advised to follow police instructions.

Separately, Times Now notes that farmers in Madhya Pradesh had recently marched towards Bhopal to gherao Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's residence, demanding 100 per cent procurement of moong at MSP and the scrapping of the fertiliser e-token system. Talks with the district administration failed, and the farmers continue their sit-in.
