Kharge slams Modi govt; Modi warns of dimagi Naxals

On Independence Day, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge slammed the Modi government for policies that he said have pushed young people into a 'dark road'. He accused the government of avoiding Parliament, taking credit for Congress-era achievements, and suppressing student protesters. Kharge said the government lacks funds and ideas for nation-building.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Red Fort speech, warned of 'dimagi Naxals' who use violence and anarchy to mislead the youth. He announced free online coaching and AI skilling initiatives. Modi called for identifying and isolating such elements to involve the youth in national development.

Separately, the BJP accused Congress leader Sonia Gandhi of objecting to the full rendition of Vande Mataram at the party's event. The Congress denied this, saying she was only seeking a chair for Kharge.
