MS Raju’s Agadha flops, draws criticism for outdated style

Telugu cinema producer-turned-director MS Raju's horror film Agadha, released on August 14, has failed to register decent openings at the box office. The film faced tough competition from Suriya's Vishwanath and Sons and poor word of mouth has worsened its prospects, leaving it struggling to have a decent weekend.

MS Raju, known for producing blockbusters such as Okkadu, Varsham and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, has been criticised for outdated writing and direction. He sounded extremely confident during pre-release interviews, but Agadha has turned out to be a major shock for him.
