Nani unveils gangster chef look for Sujeeth’s Bloody Romeo
Natural Star Nani has revealed a dramatic new look for his upcoming gangster action-comedy Bloody Romeo, directed by Sujeeth. A behind-the-scenes video shared on Saturday, 10 October 2026, shows the actor shedding the rugged appearance from his recent film The Paradise for a retro-style curly mullet, thick beard, and props including round dark sunglasses, a butcher's apron and a cleaver, suggesting a character who is both a chef and a gangster. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim designed the makeover, with Sujeeth personally supervising the session.
Produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainment in association with Unanimous Productions, the film marks the first collaboration between Nani and Sujeeth. Multiple sources report Bloody Romeo is a blend of action and comedy. Pinkvilla adds that actress Preity Mukundhan and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran are rumoured for key roles. Shooting is expected to begin in October 2026, with the first schedule reportedly planned in London. A release date has not been confirmed.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Coverage of Nani's Bloody Romeo makeover is overwhelmingly uniform, with most outlets delivering straight descriptions of the behind-the-scenes video. M9.news alone adopts a sensationalist tone, framing the look's reveal as building anticipation rather than simply reporting it. The core facts across all sources are identical: the retro mullet, the butcher's apron and cleaver props, Aalim Hakim's involvement, and Sujeeth's on-set supervision. Pinkvilla adds unconfirmed casting rumours about Preity Mukundhan and Prithviraj Sukumaran and a London schedule, details absent from the other reports. The video's purpose, to signal a dual chef-gangster identity, is consistently noted. No source questions the project's premise or schedule. The next concrete step will be the start of regular shooting, which Pinkvilla places in October 2026.
