Pankaj Tripathi recalls cycling days at Mirzapur movie event in Patna

Pankaj Tripathi revisited his theatre days during a promotional event in Patna for the upcoming film Mirzapur: The Movie, the big-screen spinoff of the popular streaming series. The actor, who plays Kaleen Bhaiyya, recalled cycling daily from Kankarbagh to Khagaul for rehearsals of his first play at the NC Ghosh Institute. "When I arrived at the station 30 years later and saw the NC Ghosh building, memories from those days came flooding back," he said. Tripathi also expressed pride in Bihar's growth and the warmth he receives there.

Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, the film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna. The ensemble cast includes Ali Fazal, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, and others. Fan-favourite characters like Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu), Satyanand Tripathi (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), and Sweety Gupta (Shriya Pilgaonkar) will return. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 4, 2026.
