Rajasthan sarpanch candidate promises weddings for bachelors in video
Anita Saini, a sarpanch candidate from Jhajhad village in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, has promised in a viral video to arrange weddings for unmarried men in the village if she wins the upcoming panchayat election. Saini says she will search for brides in other villages and is willing to arrange a train for the wedding procession.
Indian Opinion Analysis
All three sources report the same viral video without independent verification of Anita Saini's candidacy or the video's authenticity. TV9 Hindi and Amar Ujala treat it as a claimed electoral promise and emphasise the novelty of a marriage guarantee over traditional development pledges, Aaj Tak frames it more concretely as a campaign commitment by a named candidate. Uniform coverage means no outlet challenges the premise. The story remains a curiosity pinned to an unverified video, and the only next step is whether official election authorities or Saini herself confirm the candidacy and the pledge.
