Rajnath Singh asks civil servants to meet people, hear grievances

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has urged civil servants to serve citizens with 'utmost seva bhav' and adopt a people-friendly approach. He said officers should meet people regularly and listen to their grievances to understand their concerns and instill a sense of assurance.

Singh made the remarks on Monday while interacting with 2025-batch officer trainees of the Indian Defence Estates Service at the National Institute of Defence Estates Management in New Delhi. He emphasised the role of public servants in meeting citizens' evolving aspirations and called for equal attention to officers' physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, urging them to practise meditation.

Director General of Defence Estates Shobha Gupta was present during the interaction. The trainees had called on the minister as part of their training programme.
