RITES opens 27 assistant manager posts in Tamil Nadu
The Story in Brief
RITES Limited has invited online applications for 27 Assistant Manager (Mechanical) posts on a contract basis in Tamil Nadu. The vacancies are divided across three categories: AM-Mechanical-I (14 posts), AM-Mechanical-II (10 posts) and AM-Mechanical-III (3 posts). Applications close on 20 November 2026.
Candidates with a Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and QA/QC/Testing experience can apply, with a maximum age of 40 years as of 20 November. Posts AM-Mechanical-II and AM-Mechanical-III require ASNT or ISNT Level-II certification in UT and MPT respectively. The written test is scheduled for 29 November 2026. Monthly gross pay is Rs. 38,085.
Indian Opinion Analysis
The 27 posts are contract-based in Tamil Nadu, so successful candidates will not get permanent RITES employment. The written test on 29 November is the sole selection stage mentioned, giving applicants less than a month to prepare after the 20 November deadline. The experience requirement, especially eight years for diploma holders in QA/QC at steel or forging units, narrows the eligible pool significantly. Candidates with ASNT/ISNT Level-II certification for UT or MPT are only needed for two of the three post categories, limiting those slots further. The next step for interested applicants is submitting the online form before 20 November.
