Sai Pallavi says she prayed to Sita Maa for Ramayana role
The Story in Brief
Sai Pallavi has said she approached playing Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' not by thinking about what she could contribute but by surrendering through prayer. Appearing on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 18' with host Amitabh Bachchan, the actress said, 'I did not want to use my brain. I just prayed and said, Sita Maa, please play that role through me.'
The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Laxman, releases worldwide on November 5, 2026. The cast will join Bachchan for a special Diwali episode on October 29 and 30 at 9pm on SonyLIV and Sony TV.
Indian Opinion Analysis
All three outlets cover Sai Pallavi's KBC remarks identically as a straightforward entertainment story, with no political or ideological framing. Times Now, 123telugu and Odisha TV each quote the actress saying she prayed to Sita Maa rather than using her usual analytical approach to a role. The uniform coverage reflects a consensus that the comments are a human-interest detail from a film promotion appearance, not a matter of controversy or cultural commentary. The next concrete event is the special Diwali episode on October 29 and 30 on SonyLIV and Sony TV.
