Shots fired at Ludhiana pizza outlet, police probe CCTV footage
Two unidentified persons opened fire at a pizza outlet in Ludhiana's Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar area late Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday. CCTV footage of the incident, which has surfaced on social media, shows two men entering the premises and one of them firing three shots within three seconds. A third person was waiting outside on a motorcycle, English Mathrubhumi reports.
A social media page called 'Gopi Lahoria Group' has claimed responsibility for the firing. Police said they are verifying the Instagram post to establish whether the claim is genuine. Police are examining CCTV recordings from the area to identify and trace the assailants. The investigation is underway.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Both sources report the same facts, but India TV News frames the story around the rapid three-second gunfire and getaway detail, adding a dramatic edge. English Mathrubhumi includes the social media claim and police verification, giving a fuller investigative context. The measured read: a shooting occurred, the claim by 'Gopi Lahoria Group' is unverified. Watch for police confirmation of the claim and any arrests.
