SSC CHSL 2026 Tier-I exam from 30 November
The Story in Brief
The Staff Selection Commission has released the schedule for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026. The Tier-I computer-based exam will be conducted from 30 November to 31 December 2026. The official notice was issued on 1 October 2026.
The exam will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions across English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. Each correct answer carries two marks, and 0.50 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the test. The Tier-I stage is used to shortlist candidates for Tier-II.
The Commission will release the exam city intimation slip and admit card on its official website ssc.gov.in. Candidates are advised to check their individual exam dates and shifts through the candidate login portal once the details are available.
Indian Opinion Analysis
The SSC has set a one-month window for Tier-I, meaning individual candidates will appear on different days and shifts within that period. The key unresolved detail is the exact date and centre each candidate is assigned, which will only appear on the city intimation slip and admit card. Candidates must watch for those documents on the SSC website to confirm their own schedule.
