Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons enters top 3 Tamil grossers of 2026

Suriya's latest family drama, Vishwanath And Sons, has crossed Rs 120 crore worldwide gross in its first four days. According to Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 7.50 crore net in India on Day 4 (Monday, August 17), taking its India net to Rs 65.65 crore and India gross to Rs 75.88 crore. The overseas market added Rs 45 crore, bringing the worldwide total to Rs 120.88 crore. The film was released on August 14 and co-stars Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar, and Raveena Tandon. It is directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya.

Koimoi reports that with these collections, Vishwanath And Sons has become the third-highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026 in India, surpassing Thaai Kizhavi (Rs 62.46 crore net). Suriya also holds the top spot with Karuppu (Rs 198.18 crore net). Meanwhile, Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which completed 25 days in theatres, has a worldwide gross of Rs 322.56 crore as per Sacnilk, with India net at Rs 196.68 crore and overseas contribution of Rs 93.50 crore. Both films continue their theatrical runs, with Vishwanath And Sons building momentum in its first week and Jana Nayagan in its later stage.
