TGSPDCL to hold 3-day power expo in Hyderabad from Aug 22

The Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) will host a three-day power expo from August 22 to 24 at People Plaza in Hyderabad to showcase its services and initiatives. Chairman and managing director Jitesh V Patil said the exhibition will display the discom's achievements, government schemes, network upgrades, safety measures, substation materials, underground cabling, field equipment, consumer services, disaster management, the 1912 control room, renewable energy and charging stations. The expo will also demonstrate metering, bill generation, earthing and solar systems through miniature models.

The CMD said the state government approved projects including conversion of overhead lines to underground cables in the CURE area and unmanned 33/11 kV hybrid indoor substations beneath flyovers. Five locations have been proposed: Shaikpet flyover, Nayani Narsimha Reddy Steel Bridge, Gachibowli-Kondapur flyover and Kothaguda flyover. The discom will organise exclusive visits for schoolchildren, hourly quizzes at stalls and a laser show during the opening and closing ceremonies, Patil added.
