TV actor Aditi Sharma files domestic violence FIR against husband

Television actor Aditi Sharma has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband Abhineet Kaushik and his family. An FIR was registered at Goregaon Police Station in Mumbai on July 31 under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for cruelty, breach of trust and intentional insult. Sharma alleged physical and mental harassment, verbal abuse and that her mother-in-law kept her wedding jewellery despite repeated requests.

In her first public remarks to Times Now, Sharma said she needed time to process the situation and that she is a private person who did not bring the matter into the public domain. The couple married in November 2024. Sharma claimed tensions began days after the wedding over everyday issues and that her husband became suspicious and checked her phone. Police Assistant Inspector Amita Marathe is investigating. No response from the accused has been made public.
