Vijay’s Jana Nayagan to stream on ZEE5 from August 21

Jana Nayagan, the final film starring Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, will premiere on ZEE5 on August 21, 2026. The announcement was made by ZEE5 Tamil on social media, confirming the OTT release date for fans who missed the theatrical run.

The film, directed by H Vinoth, reached theatres on July 23 after months of delay due to certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification. The producers approached the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court over the delay. The film also faced an online leak before its release.

According to Deccan Chronicle, Jana Nayagan earned Rs 227.14 crore gross in India and Rs 320.34 crore worldwide. The film stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju. It is Vijay's last movie appearance before his full-time political career, produced by KVN Productions with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
