Yogi Adityanath attacks SP over changing stances on PDA

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday sharply criticised the Samajwadi Party, saying its leaders change their stance frequently and cannot be trusted. Speaking at the Hindu Gaurav Diwas event in Lucknow to mark the fifth death anniversary of former chief minister Kalyan Singh, he said the party's 'P' in PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) once stood for backwards and later became Pandit, warning that one day they may define 'P' as Pakistan.

Adityanath also accused SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of not paying tribute to Kalyan Singh, calling it an insult to Hindus. He praised Kalyan Singh's role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and said he refused to fire on Ram devotees even at the cost of losing power. The CM also alleged that SP governments removed Dr B R Ambedkar's name from a medical college in Kannauj and Ahilyabai Holkar's name from a college in Mainpuri, which the BJP later restored.
