Abinaya Rajarajan, Jason Tyantini win 100m at World Athletics Continental Tour

India's Abinaya Rajarajan and South Africa's Tshepo Jason Tyantini won the women's and men's 100m titles at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver Level meeting at Bhubaneswar's Kalinga Stadium on Saturday. Rajarajan, from Tamil Nadu, clocked 11.34 seconds to take gold. Harita Bhadra of Maharashtra finished second in 11.46 seconds, while Karnataka's S. Sathyanarayan took bronze in 11.56 seconds.

In the men's 100m, Tyantini, 21, won in 10.11 seconds. Ali Al Balushi of Oman took silver (10.16) and Sri Lanka's Dineth Induwara W bronze (10.27). India's Animesh Kujur finished sixth in 10.32 seconds, and national record holder Gurindervir Singh was ninth in 10.39 seconds. Other Indian winners included Rohit Yadav in men's javelin (87.68m), M Sreeshankar in men's long jump (8.07m), Vithya Ramraj in women's 400m (51.96 secs), and Ancy Sojan in women's long jump (6.71m).
