Abishek S. Vyas leaves Netflix, Disney to launch AVS Studios

Producer Abishek S. Vyas has left his roles at Netflix, Disney, Zee Studios and Viacom18 to found his own production company, AVS Studios. He said the decision came from a desire to build his own vision rather than someone else's. "The corporate world gave me a masterclass in scale, in process, in understanding what audiences across the world actually respond to. But there comes a point where you realise you're building someone else's vision. And I had my own," Vyas told Bollywood Hungama.

AVS Studios aims to develop Indian stories with global appeal from the outset. Vyas believes his experience across major media companies has given him insight into audience behaviour and the systems needed for international reach. He said the move is not just about leaving corporate life but about creating a studio focused on stories that connect with audiences in India and beyond.
