Actress Hayden Panettiere dies at 36

Hayden Panettiere, known for roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," has died at age 36. Her father, Skip Panettiere, confirmed the death in a statement to ABC News on Sunday, calling her "an incredible light." No cause of death has been announced.

Panettiere rose to fame as Claire Bennet on NBC's "Heroes" and later earned Golden Globe nominations for her role on "Nashville." She also appeared in "Remember the Titans," the "Scream" franchise, and voiced Dot in "A Bug's Life." Her brother Jansen died in 2023 at age 28 from a heart condition.

Panettiere is survived by her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, from her relationship with former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. She had spoken publicly about struggles with postpartum depression and addiction. Her agency did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
