Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth to visit Nepal from August 16

Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth will visit Nepal from August 16 for a four-day trip, at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart General Ashok Sigdel. During the visit, General Seth is expected to be conferred with the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army, continuing a long-standing tradition between the two countries.

The tradition of exchanging honorary ranks reflects the deep military ties and close bilateral relationship between India and Nepal. General Seth's visit to Kathmandu will include meetings with senior Nepali military officials and other engagements. The exact schedule of events is yet to be officially announced.
