Asim Riaz denies conversion claim, says ex messaged after breakup

Bigg Boss 13 fame Asim Riaz has denied allegations that he pressured his former girlfriend Himanshi Khurana to convert to Islam, after she discussed their religious differences on a podcast hosted by Paras Chhabra. In an Instagram post on Sunday, Riaz said he never asked anyone to change their religion and accused Khurana of using a sensitive issue for attention. He also claimed she contacted him three months after their breakup in 2023 and wanted to reconcile, and threatened to share screenshots of their conversation.

Khurana, on the podcast, said she would not call it conversion but that her partner spoke about the positive aspects of his religion and wanted her to accept them. She described feeling she was betraying her God and questioned whether she would be cremated or buried. Siasat.com and Hindustan Times report that the couple announced their separation in 2023, citing religious differences. Khurana later called the media coverage a 'storm in a teacup'.
