Bengaluru man misses 3x property gain, buys car instead

A Bengaluru man has shared on Reddit that he regrets not buying a 1BHK flat in Choodasandra for Rs 30 lakh in 2020, as the same property is now reportedly worth Rs 90 lakh. He said he chose to buy a car instead of the apartment.

The user rented the flat from 2018 to 2020 when the owner offered it for sale. He was 26 at the time and decided against the purchase. On a recent visit for a friend's housewarming, he found the area transformed with new buildings and a lakeside walkway, though roads remained poor. His friend told him owners are reluctant to sell due to strong rental income and appreciation.
