Bengaluru couple spends Rs 2.53 lakh to move into 3BHK

A Bengaluru couple has detailed the cost of moving into a 3BHK apartment in South Bengaluru, putting the total at Rs 2,53,500. The biggest expense was the security deposit of Rs 1.5 lakh, followed by Rs 37,000 in broker fees and Rs 60,000 paid to packers and movers to transport furniture from Kolkata.

The couple, Ana Mishra and Ishan, also spent Rs 3,000 moving Mishra's belongings within Bengaluru and Rs 700 to relocate their Wi-Fi connection. They rent a washing machine, refrigerator, and purifier for Rs 2,800 per month. The final figure does not include decoration or other purchases for the new home.

Mishra shared the breakdown in an Instagram video, where it drew mixed reactions. Some users questioned the choices, while others noted similar or higher costs. The rent for the apartment in the AECS Layout, Singasandra was Rs 37,000 a month.
