China launches 24th batch of low-orbit internet satellites from Hainan

China launched the 24th batch of low-orbit internet satellites on Sunday, carrying them aboard a Long March-12 rocket from a commercial site in Hainan province. The rocket lifted off at 12.10pm Beijing time and placed the satellites into their designated orbits successfully.

The launch from the southern island province of Hainan marks another step in China's effort to build large low-orbit satellite networks that can provide internet connectivity. Hainan has become a key hub for China's commercial space activities.
