Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game gets OTT release date on JioHotstar
The Story in Brief
Dulquer Salmaan‘s fantasy action drama ‘I’m Game’ will begin streaming on JioHotstar from 6 November in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The film, directed by Nahas Hidhayath and produced under Wayfarer Films, was released in theatres on 3 September.
The story follows Dan John, a wealthy man with a gambling addiction who receives a hand transplant after a road accident and discovers the hand carries the consciousness of a deceased cricketer. Sources differ on the film’s theatrical performance: TrackTollywood reports a strong worldwide opening of over Rs 11 crore gross, while 123telugu.com describes it as a box-office failure. The cast includes Antony Varghese, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Vinay Forrt and Samyuktha Vishwanathan.
Indian Opinion Analysis
The five outlets agree on the core facts: the film ‘I’m Game’ streams on JioHotstar from 6 November in five languages. Two sources, 123telugu.com and Filmibeat, describe it as a box-office failure or flop without further detail. Economic Times omits any box-office verdict entirely, while TrackTollywood reports an opening of over Rs 11 crore gross worldwide, a figure the other sources do not carry. Pinkvilla leads with the OTT date and plot summary, taking no stance on theatrical performance. The mixed critical reception reported by one outlet is absent from the others. The coverage is otherwise uniform straight wire-style reporting. The material leaves open the question of how streaming viewership will compare with the theatrical outcome projected by the positive opening figure from TrackTollywood.
