The suspects were identified as Gopisetti Sunil (48) of Nellore, Tammisetti Venkateswarlu (25) and Tammisetti Anand (19) of Palnadu district, and Malamanti Sai Kumar (33) of NTR district. Sunil and Venkateswarlu had known each other in jail.
Police traced the Innova car and arrested the four at Gundlapalli village. They recovered 157.5 grams of gold jewellery, Rs 51,000 cash, and the vehicle. Ongole DSP R Srinivasa Rao said special teams led by Ongole Rural CI M Seshagiria Rao and Maddipadu SI G Venkata Surya solved the case. Prakasam SP V Harshavardhan Raju commended the teams.
