Gambhir gives Samson clarity on T20I omission

India head coach Gautam Gambhir said he has given Sanju Samson clarity on why he was left out of the playing eleven in recent T20Is. Gambhir added that the team's recent setbacks reflect the transition period the side is going through after a dominant run.

The coach emphasised that the T20I side is hitting reset and needs time to adjust. Samson, who has been in and out of the squad, was reportedly told the reasons for his omission in a direct conversation.
