Gwalior police constable survives two snake bites with AI help

A police head constable in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, survived two bites from a common krait snake that was hidden in his bed. Puran Sikarwar was sleeping in his government quarters at Bijouli police station on Thursday night when the snake struck.

Hearing his screams, station house officer Saurabh Srivastava and other staff rushed to the scene. Aaj Tak reports Srivastava photographed the snake and used artificial intelligence to get first-aid instructions. The constable was then taken to Jayarogya Hospital, where doctors used the photo to identify the venomous snake and start treatment.

SSP Dharmveer Singh Yadav also visited the hospital. Sikarwar was later moved to a private hospital for better care. His condition is now stable and improving, doctors said.
