Haryana CM Saini announces projects honouring Maharishi Kashyap

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced a series of initiatives in honour of Maharishi Kashyap on Sunday. He said land would be allotted for a dharamshala in Kaithal, a grand statue installed at a chowk in Indri that will be named after the sage, and funds provided for a Maharishi Kashyap Chair at Kurukshetra University.

Saini was speaking at a state-level function on Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti in Chandigarh. He called Kashyap a great philanthropist who guided society through the Kashyap Samhita and Smriti Granth. The chief minister highlighted the historical role of the Kashyap community and named figures such as King Nishad and Bhakt Prahlad. He also recalled Bhai Himmat Singh Kashyap, one of the Panj Pyare of Guru Gobind Singh.

Targeting the opposition, Saini said they were issue-less and spreading misinformation after being rejected by the people. He said the Haryana government was committed to ensuring welfare schemes reach backward classes under the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.
